In FIS, Physics laboratory is one of the most well equipped and ultra-modern laboratory in the region. At a time, 60 students can work independently in the lab with individual apparatus. Practical are carried our regularly so that children understand physics better by doing themselves. Various models and charts are displayed in the lab to arise the curiosity of students. The lab is fully safe against all kinds of accidents-fully ventilated, having full bright light and fire extinguishers.

The working counters have inbuilt connections for electricity so that children have easy access to it for electricity so that children have easy access to it for electricity experiments. Even the switches are the most modern ones so that children do not get any shock by just putting pencils or wires inside.

In FIS, Chemistry laboratory is one of the most well equipped and ultra-modern laboratory in the region. Table tops were re-laid with Granite, with cupboards alongside. The flooring is also a special one i.e. Acid proof. There is a big fume cupboard, used for H2S gas apparatus and separate weighing balance room.

Best safety equipments have been installed in the lab, which makes it the best in the region. It comes up as safe station to explore chemistry and well equipped with fire extinguishers. At a time, 60 students can work independently in the lab with individual set of apparatus. Practical are carried out regularly so that children understand Chemistry better by doing themselves. The lab is well illuminated, ventilated and fully equipped with latest instruments and apparatus meeting the CBSE standards. The lab is quite spacious to accommodate 60 students to work at one time. Demonstrations for various topics of Biology are done for the clarity of the concepts and which leads to the better understanding of the subject. This facilitates the preparation of project, which help and guide the students to keep abreast with the latest research and developments in this millennium.

The importance and utility of computers in today’s scenario and in the environment of tomorrow is unquestionable. We are equipped with two A.C. labs having 60 multimedia computers and one audio visual lab for students. There are two resource labs, one for teachers and another for students. Internet facility is given to all students under the supervision of teachers. Our curriculum includes Office, Multi-Media, and programming to enable the students to cater to the global requirement. Computer applications as a subject is compulsory from Class I to VIII.

We have taken the initiative in providing students with the most versatile computer aided learning environment. Today, FIS has Audio Visual classrooms and labs. Most of them are equipped with latest state-of-the-art Interactive Systems. Computer Aided Teaching is an integral part from First onwards. Teachers are given the platform and flexibility to integrate kinesthetic aids and interactive teaching methods in the classrooms.

The FIS Music room is used as a place for students to practice and play their preferred instruments. Students who choose to be part of the Music Club may also bring their own instruments. Our instruments include a complete drum kit, keyboards, and guitars (both acoustic and electric), among others.

FIS has a well-furnished, well-lighted and well planned library. There are numerous books, several periodicals and dailies. There is a provision for 100 students to sit and go through the books and daily magazines.

Playing various sports helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges. Students get a chance to work on their physical and mental abilities to achieve goals in their life.

Smart classrooms also reduce distractions, and therefore, students can concentrate more and retain more information.

An environmental factor of particular importance to children physical activity levels appears to be the presence of parks and open space. Thus, in promoting children health, school grounds merit consideration as a potential setting for intervention. This explores how ‘green’ school grounds, which contain a greater diversity of landscaping and design features, affect the quantity and quality of physical activity among elementary school children.

The School has a fleet of Buses & Vans for transportation of children from Pilibhit and other nearby areas of city.
